Our new music video for "I'm Into Something Good" is now up on youtube featuring Bella Donna
We bring you all original music...
with rock/folk-rock/country/blues influences. It's pretty much a one man operation around here, with me(Jim) writing and performing almost all of the guitar, keyboard, and vocal parts. Donna, the lovely lady in the photo, provides the inspiration. She's a very funny, unique and special lady. You can see Donna in action here.

Why this name?
I've always loved music for as long as I can remember...even as a very young child. I don't know if that has anything to do with my initials being JAZ.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
For the better, let us hope and pray. The music industry is a sick joke. Sorry, if I offended anyone, but it's true. Fortunately, some talented artists occasionally slip through and get air play, but to listen to most commercial FM radio these days is more than any even relatively sane person can stomach. College stations occasionally play some great stuff, but commercial stations, sad to say, no. Why this is so would take a lot more space to explain than is available here.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Haha....major label....yeah sure. I'm going to become the next Justin Bieber or Lil Wayne, rotflol. My songs are more Tom Waits, Leonard Cohen, or Dylan style, and I seriously doubt any major label is actively looking for that style of music these days. But I'm a songwriter first and foremost. I would most of all like to make contact with an interested singer or publisher. Though, if a small indie label is interested why not.
Your influences?
Everything and anything! Been playing blues, country and rock for forever and a day. As far as songwriting goes, I think Dylan is probably head and shoulders above the rest...Lennon and McCartney are very close runner-ups. I listen to everything...everything but top 40 radio that is. The guitarists who influenced me most are Django Reinhardt, Charlie Christian, Peter Green, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, and Freddie King to name just a few.
Favorite spot?
Probably Santa Monica and the Southern California coastline.
Equipment used:
Guitar, mic, keyboard, preamp, computer, pen, and paper.
Anything else...?
A democracy is two wolves and a small lamb voting on what to have for dinner. Freedom under a constitutional republic is a well armed lamb contesting the vote. Benjamin Franklin
