Kitone is a hip-hop producer out of Seattle, Washington.
Why this name?
Ki refers to energy, while tone refers to how the energy is applied. Likewise, Ki refers to a musical key, while tone refers to a musical tone. Combined, it means the energy and tone of music and how it can be applied to life.
Do you play live?
Don't do live performances. The work seen here is made for studio production and album appearances.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It changes the way we exchange goods and ideas, making the world more connected.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Depends on the label and what they offer.
Band History:
I have been producing music for local acts in Seattle, including Abyssinian Creole, Gabriel Teodros, Khalil Crisis (Khingz), Cyphalliance, and Mal Saint. Many new collaborations are expected in the future.
Your influences?
My style is all over the place. Sometimes it is more soulful, other times dramatic, and often full of creative rhythmatic elements and strange instruments.
Favorite spot?
Everywhere I go.
Equipment used:
Not telling you.
