I began music studies at age 5 on piano and elementary theory. I progressed to guitar at 9 and drumset at 13 at which age I began composing seriously. At 17 came my first professional commission for a documentary film made for television called "The Championship Season-That Team Spirit". Since then I have been composing and performing professionally.
I compose in many contrasting styles but leaning more toward contemporary classical and minimalism. I have done some work in film and popular music. I am now working on my 7th symphony and my 11th string quartet.
Why this name?
Baptism
Do you play live?
Here and there. I play for fun and I still teach piano and guitar.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Classical music is not really popular today so it is very hard to get original works performed, let alone have original music recorded. Computers, MIDI, mp3s and the internet give modern composers a chance to hear and share their work. Much modern symphonic music may be difficult to grasp on the first hearing so in the mp3 format, a work can be listened to multiple times. This may generate more interest in the work and lead to actual performances.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would love to write music for film. I would definitely be interested contract of that nature!

Your influences?
Copland, Druckman, Stravinsky, and Shostakovich to name a few. I enjoy music that is tonal in essence but not traditionally so. Although I have written some, I am not a big fan of serialism. I do however, use mathematics to compose melodies and to dictate harmonic progressions.
Favorite spot?
Not sure yet. Thinking I will find it someday.
Equipment used:
To compose, I use the Sibelius music publishing program on a custom built Alienware tower.
I use a Gateway computer running Windows ME with a sound blaster live Platinum with my own compilation of soundfonts for my Sequencing.
Anything else...?
My MIDI performances are EXTREMELY high quality. I took great pains to add expression to these MIDI files to make the perfomance sound "human." The files fare better in .WAV format but are still good in .mp3.
