DEROGATORY
Chroma Keyer became when Gazz, Downie, Livi (ex bassist) and Calum started jamming together during the summer of 2003. Now there is no stopping us.
We aim to create an intense live show with much to see and hear whilst being as original as we can.

Why this name?
our original name was "Purity" but after discovering a copyright lawsuit, we changed it to Chroma Keyer as it sounded original and has a story behind it...
Do you play live?
Chroma Keyer have played many live shows and regardless of space and the venue, we always manage to create a shock value to the set. the most insane moment for the band when playing live was when we put a fake duck in the middle of a pit and have a large group of people dive for it when the music peaked.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
it helps the band become more established througout the world. you can connact a much wider audiance.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
very much!!!
Band History:
the band grew from a random get together where we mainly played covers of the bands we where influenced by eg: Mudvayne,Slipknot and then we took it from their to establish our own breed of music. recently we have made a music video for an underground bands DVD which was released. we are planning to finish a 4 track demo soon.
Your influences?
slipknot where the link of our influence. from that, we created our own "onstage antic" which included throwing ourselves around the stage. our vocalist usually wears a straight jacket and we do fake blood for a theatrical presance.
Favorite spot?
at the beach.
