Fleeing the wreckage of the industrial wasteland, EXTROPY is the current project from Dreamscape Unlimited exiles Jeremiah Savage and Dave Andrus.
Digital manipulation of acoustic and electric guitars, processed piano, fractured beats and thoughtful melancholy intertwine with haunting melodies and sparse lyrics to create an atmospheric eulogy for the 21st century.

Why this name?
extropy is the opposite of entropy, therefore it seemed apt to apply this title to our futile attempt at organizing chaos
Do you play live?
i prefer it to playing dead
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
it gives more power to the artists as the method of distribution is diversified. eventually (one hopes) the behemoth record labels will fade and die, returning to their more lucrative military weapons manufacturing divisions
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
no.

Your influences?
books tend to influence us, key authors include iain banks, carl sagan, arthur c. clarke, noam chomsky, john ralston saul, greg bear, etc. musically - the cure, autechre, joy division, radiohead, NIN, skinny puppy - numerous others.
Favorite spot?
barking sands, kauai HI followed closely by the studio. preferably both at once.

anything we can get our hands on... currently in use: mac G4 (3) running LOGIC.. SW: absynth, reaktor, kontakt HW: mwXT. mQ (2), Juno-1, FS1r, CS1x, various filter boxes, effects. fernandes electric, yamaha acoustic guitars.
