Kama Loka
Formed in 2002 Celtic Assault is a five piece metal band based in South Wales, UK. The sound is old school metal (Megadeth, Iron maiden etc..) and nu-metal (Linkin park, Evanescence) mixed with hardcore rap. With two vocalists helping to mix these various different styles, powerful riffs, blistering guitar solos and big choruses the band is powerful and original. Come

Why this name?
We are Celtic and our music is an assault on the ears which must be turned up load or else!! hehe
Do you play live?
We have played live at various bars, events and outdoor festivals, we love playing live and aim o do so even more in the future. Every moment is special to us on stage but seeing people getting into the music has to be one of the best things
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it allows the little man to reach a bigger audience and exposes a lot more talent that would otherwise have been hidden away.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes if the deal was right and we are not changed in anyway musically.
Band History:
-Formed in 2001/2002
-Recorded a seven song EP "Society's Creation" with highly rated producer Tim Hamill at sonic one studios. Tim has worked with big names in the industry including George Michael, Mal pope, and female metal band Girlschool.
-Radio airplay from South Wales station "The Wave 96.4 fm" plus positive comments from BBC radio Wales and regular airplay from BURBS -British underground rock bands radio station online.
-Recorded a live concert in September 2003, tracks coming soon
-Prime time act at the Festival of youth in south wales 2003
-Played at the legendary venue TJ's Bar In Newport (many big names have played there such as Nirvanna)as part of a UNICEF charity fundraiser with members of MTV show "DIRTY SANCHEZ" present watching and introducing us onto the stage
-To date we are promoting our ep, gigging and writing new material for our next visit to the studio.
- Airplay on various radio stations including BBC radio

Your influences?
80s old school rock and metal such as Iron maiden, Megadeth , Metallica, Pantera, def leppard, motley crue, guns n roses etc.., The nu-metal of today such as Linkin park and evanescence etc and then other stuff like rage against the machine.
