Blayze, been rappin and producing since 1996. Yeah, I'm a white boy but I'm my own white boy rapper. No Eminem/Atmosphere clone here. I represent the Dirty South, Orlando and Florida.
Why this name?
Blayze, I don't know. You all have heard John Blaze. Well, my name is Jon, so I guess Blaze just stuck. To mix it up a bit, I respelled it Blayze.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's great. I've been turned on to so much hip hop I never would have found in the real world.
Band History:
I started rappin with my boy Sacrifice in our group, Non Fiction. I've also been in a group with Fice and Phenomenon called Underground Tactics. My crew consists of us three and Wall Street. We had M.A.D. Records. I haven't rapped in a while since I've been in Colorado but I'll be back in Florida soon and hopefully we can get some things going again.
Your influences?
Cee-Lo and Andre 3000 are my main inspirations. I try to bring original hip hop. Something straight from my heart. I'm not rich or a playa, so why rap about it?
Favorite spot?
Anywhere in the south baby. Nothin like it.
