BlueGrassFire was formed in early 2004 with a desire to share our love of Bluegrass music. Each of the band's members bring many years experience to the group. The band enjoys playing for local functions and activities as well as area events and festivals in the summer months.

The pickers are:
Zeek Dietrick - Mandolin, vocals
Doc Kinneson - Guitar, vocals
Slim Shrader - Upright bass, vocals
Buck Buckingham (no longer a member) - Banjo, dobro
Why this name?
The name was put together from several ideas we had.
Do you play live?
Playing live is the reason we exist. We love playing anywhere from festivals to posh restaurants.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It makes it possible for regional and local groups like us to have a world-wide presence in the music community.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Very doubtful. The demands and pressure placed on people is nothing we'd want.
Band History:
Each member has been playing music their whole life. BlueGrassFire was started in early 2004.
Your influences?
Bill Monroe (of course), Del McCoury Band, Open Road, HotRize, any and all 1st generation bluegrass personalities.
Favorite spot?
Our favorite place to be is on stage, in a jam circle or practicing.
