Minus Infinity is a Progressive/Thrash metal band from New Orleans, LA. Our music is a combination of epic washes of sound, syncopated rythyms, clever melodies and uncompromising brutality.
Why this name?
Minus Infinity was chosen as a name during a mathematical discussion of lowest theoretical values. Also it sounds cool.
Do you play live?
We play in and around the Gulf South area and are trying to break out into a wider area.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Much easier accessibility of course. Personally I've found tons of new bands that I otherwise would probably never know about. Also it makes communication for booking gigs easier and more tools are avaiable for promotion.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Hell yes.

Minus Infinity has been together for approx 5 years and have had many different members but have retained our need to constantly evolve.

SYL, Darkane, Dimmu Borgir, Meshuggah, Dream Theater, Emperor, Martyr, Theory in Practice, Atheist, Cynic, Coroner, Annihilator, Children of Bodom and many others.
