Classic Roast is a smooth blend of acoustic rock and confusing lyrics. Savor the taste of this delicious cup of Roast.
Why this name?
Classic Roast was taken from a Folgers coffee can that sitting on a work bench next to the members when they decided to form a band.
Do you play live?
We play any place that wants us.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
If it wasn't for the internet, you wouldn't be looking at this page right now.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Of course. Why wouldn't we sell out? If it means we'd get to bring the Roast to the masses then it sounds good to me.
Band History:
Lead singer Chance Hambright has played music his entire life. Starting with keyboards when he was a tot, to playing trumpet at school [over 8 years and numerous awards.] But before those golden days of brass, Chance started playing guitar when he was around 9 years old. He quickly quit as he thought it was too hard. About 7 years later, he picked his guitar back up and taught himself how to play. With a few years of self-taught playing he then went on for professional piano and voice lessons in college.
The other-half of the Roast, Joseph Chance, took an interest in playing guitar when his friend [and future bandmate,] Chance played him a few 'funny' songs. Sparking this interest, Joe decided he wanted to do the same. After a few months of lessons from Chance, Joe quickly adopted his own style and ability.

Your influences?
Liam Lynch, Jack Black, Kyle Gass, EELS, Collective Soul, Bob Dylan and any other band/music we've heard within our lives. Anything that proves the acoustic guitar can rock like the Fonz.
Equipment used:
When broken down we use: a takamine guitar, a gibson les paul, an ovation, a fender stratocaster squire, a yamaha synthesizer, a trumpet, a voilin, a fender bass, and any other instrument we think needs to be included.
Anything else...?
