POWER TRIP (only $8 click the bandstore to buy)
The album has been in the works for about 10 years and covers rock ballads to death metal. Numerous influences from RUSH, OBITUARY, to AC/DC have contributed to the style and inspiration among others. The album communicates power in many forms, mostly the individual's power of choice in conquering his own fears and vulnerabilities. The album is written, performed, and produced by Eric Scott and POWER TRIP copyright 2000.
THE LIBRARY OF CONGRESS COPYRIGHT OFFICE
The Copyright Office has all the law and forms for registering copyrights for all kinds of original and compilation works. As of March 1,1988 all works are considered copyrighted at the time created although not registered with the Copyright Office. The difference in a registered copyright and a non-registered copyright is an infringer can not claim "no knowledge" of the copyright. In either case a work is protected but more damages can be won in court with a registered copyright. Sound recordings use the SR registration form and costs $30.
INDEPENDENT LABEL
Being an independent label is easy and very rewarding because the artist has total ownership and control of his work and can achieve the maximum profit over signing with a label, although a label can be better at distribution and promotion. Information about indie labels and producing your own work can be found at indiecentre.com. Sites like CDstreet.com and CDdebut.com are particularly good at supporting and selling independent band albums and have new and underground artists of all genre.
