Spawned from the memories of broken homes, dying friends, child abuse, backstabbing lies, suicide, and other forms of the most sinister hatred in this world, SkinKrawL demonstrates how a cruel existence can turn one’s life into utter disgust. Songs encompassing a broad spectrum of full-on emotional overload reflect the different elements of a painfully disturbing experience. No feeling is left untouched, as hatred and rage shift into opposing sections of sorrow and depression whose combination delivers a powerful expression of agony.
Why this name?
It represents the feeling we hope to express through our music...something that takes you aback, makes you consider your choices and the things that have happened to you. What has made your skin crawl?
Do you play live?
We travel at every opportunity. We've done small DIY tours and play at least every weekend. We're always interested in playing new places and being out on the road.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet has made everyone much more up to date on music, but it has also made people lazier when it comes to finding new music. When things become too easy, they are often taken for granted, which is why we must find a new passion for music and the willingness to search out what moves us.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
We would sign a deal with any label willing to back us and allow our vision of SkinKrawL to carry forth. We will not change what we do for money or more prestige, but we would be willing to work with any label that can offer us support and push our vision forward.
Your influences?
SkinKrawL's primary motivation is the hardships of life, the extreme agony we often feel from the daily destruction this earth impounds upon each of us.
