Whats up folks! My name is J.Reaper. I was born in Cwbran in S. Wales. I moved to Plymouth, England in 1991. I started rapping three years ago and have performed in numerous places in the West Country. I write all my own lyrics and sometimes collaborate with other rappers in Plymouth and members of my own family. I'd like you to listen to my music and tell me what you think.
Why this name?
At first I used the name Reaper when playing the Nintendo wrestling game, WCW for my character and the name just stuck ever since.
Do you play live?
Yes, I play live at festivals and venues around the South West. One special moment was having a master-class from Romeo from So Solid Crew. Another special moment was receiving compliments on my talent from Ian Parkinson, Head Executive of BBC Radio.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think that it makes it more accessible to unsigned artists. It means that they can get their music out there without having to depend on big record companies.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Definately. I would like what I have to say listened to on a large scale.
Your influences?
My musical influences have been Bone, Thugs and Harmony, Tupac, Eminem and Pink Floyd.
Favorite spot?
Japan kicks ass!
Anything else...?
My producer is Kristian Sharpe. He's top dog!
