Hello my name is Shaun Eagle and no I'm not related to any Native American. I am thinking my family changed their name when they got over here, yet I'm not sure. The only good thing about a weird name is that people will remember it.
I have been writing music since I was 7 years old. Writing as in making up music. I didn't have any guidance or anyone to teach me how write down the music in my head to paper so I just came up with the stuff on my grandmother's piano and in my head on long bus rides from school. I was never tought anything, I just learned everything on my own.

Why this name?
Well I had no say in my own birth name but the reason I didn't come up with a catchy band name is because I do all the music myself (drums, guitars, keyboard, lyrics, mixing, producing, promotion). Also I will never want to be a performer, just a songwriter so everyone will know who I am by my real name.
Do you play live?
I currently live in Marysville, OH after moving from Columbus, OH and not any special moments yet. Hopefully I will get an email from a scout or agent about my music and then the special moment will happen here, at my computer, in Marysville, OH!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Oh wow, yes it has. I first started messing around with techno when I went to school at Bowling Green State University (in Bowling Green, OH) and I placed myself on MP3.COM when it was first starting. I got good reviews there and got my first fan... now I am based at Besonic.com and getting heard left and right. That would have never happened if I would have toured around b/c I am a songwriter not a performer.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would say yes only on my terms: I would never be a band/performer that writes only bubblegum pop music for them. I want to write my own music no matter what. I would sign if I write pop music only and am not affilited with the band.
Band History:
Well, like I said I started playing the piano at 7 years of age and started to realize my drumming potential in the 4th grade. The band director saw me playing and asked me if I wanted to join the band in the 5th grade and so I did. I was in the band until I graduated high school while playing in the jazz band in the 11th and 12th grade as well as writing a couple cadences for the band.
Then in the 10th grade, my parents bought me a guitar for the first time. I didn't know any chords but I just placed my fingers randomly on the guitar and actually wrote my first song by the end of that night! Then I joined a real band with Nate Hixson (who last played a big show in Dayton, OH) that turned out to be a Christian band and we broke up after never finding a drummer. Then in the winter of 2002-2003, I joined a country band name Amanda Overboard that was lead by a friend named Amanda Stephens. I then got fired after my first show because I worked Friday nights and they wanted to play on those nights. She went on to drop her whole band and pick up so hard rockers and formed SS396 that is gaining some ground all around central Ohio, mainly the Columbus area. I always told her I was proud of here because now she is writing her own music. But anyway, that leads up to now.... here I am, hoping to get some attention the music world, just waiting to be heard.

Your influences?
I would say rock is my roots even though the songs that I have online are mostly electronic but I would say here are the bands that were the most influential to me: Radiohead is #1 - I love their artistic outlook to writing music, pure genious, Dave Matthews Band, Smashing Pumpkins, System of a Down, Stone Temple Pilots, etc
Favorite spot?
My old house in North Lewisburg, where I grew up. I spent 90% of my life there where I have met most of my friends as well as my best friend of 16 years. I have memories of playing basketball in the driveway, football in the sideyard, and baseball in the backyard. My house was the place for kids to play. I had a great childhood. If I was able to return to that house with my guitar, I could write a whole album about that house, the past, what animals are buried behind the garage, etc. Too bad someone else lives there.
Equipment used:
I use just one mic, my laptop, Duo USB Preamp, Fruity Loops (the best!), and n-track studio which is very easy to use and fits my needs. Oh yeah I also use my guitar!
Anything else...?
no way.... I have written enough, time to go to work!
