This my solo project. I play in a dark ambient band called Nagual but as we're a guitar based band I had to split to get my own way when it comes to Drum and Bass
Why this name?
I chose Polecat because I like Polecats. Thats it really
Do you play live?
Playing live in the summer. Most places want a DJ and I'm laptop based but I've found a sympathetic promoter who will allow me a few sets during open air type gigs.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet is definetly the way forward but the industry is refusing to accept it. 10 years ago I would never have been able to hear or get in touch with a fraction of the bands I now number among my friends. They have sent me via email and FTP, a lifetimes worth of geat music I would otherwise have missed.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
YES! I want paid boy.
Band History:
I'm afarid I dont have much of a history. I've only been doing this for a couple of years in between college and ny main band. I've had a few positive comments and reviews recently so I reckon I'm getting enough good at this to post it up for folk to hear without causing them too much pain.
Your influences?
Umm.. Grooverider messing about with some of the guys from Warp I think would best describe this. With a bit of DJ Sjadow thrown in. At least, thats what I think. You'll have other ideas
Favorite spot?
