This is the site for Trashcan Dave, the demos and recordings for Ritsaart, the bassist of Meta Luna (http://www.soundclick.com/bands/1/air.htm). Material will range from jazz to rock to metal to techno, and everything inbetween.
Why this name?
The name comes from an inside joke with a few friends...
Do you play live?
I have played live in various musical settings on various instruments, and although I haven't plated out in two years or so, I hope to be back onstage with Meta Luna as soon as possible.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
On one level, they're great, they give free publicity, allow your music to be distributed all over the world with extreme ease, and free you up to develop a fanbase without needing the support of a record label. Of course, it's also easy for people to rip them off and to steal your crap, so even though it's a great promotional tool, it's detrimental to sales. So if you like my crap, come see me live!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Sure, if they fronted a bunch of cash, gave me an advance and complete creative control, and demonstrated that they could get me better distribution and sales. I suppose that the first three are kind of a pipe dream though.
Band History:
No history, I've just been playing music almost all my life and I wanted to have a place to post my solo material.
