The BeatWalkaz consist of three producers. Edobeci, Siyah-Scholar, and Majesty located in Newark, NJ. They came up when heads were adamant about moving a crowd, and if you came half steppin' with production or lyrics, the verbal beating would have been dumb stupid! "We make tracks not beats. There is a difference. Listen to the music, you'll understand what I'm talking about.
Why this name?
BeatWalkaz police tracks.
Do you play live?
Yeah we play live. A moment was when our equipment failed at Club Millenium in Newark and Kool Bubba Ice kept the crowd cool, until he started cracking on a dude in the front row with no teeth, and a neck full of hip-hop jewelry.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
For artists looking for exposure it's a tool, use it! For labels trying to recoup large budget expenses the internets payback for stealing Rock & Roll.
I think technology and international laws will catch up with each other soon and piracy wont be as rampant.
Yeah right. Nah, what I mean.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Possibly....Ignorance is Bliss....,it's just too bad for us that were not ignorant.
Band History:
We've been doing this since we were ten years old. We grew up in the heart of New Jersey's hip-hop scene. The Path Train rides to the city were in effect.
A lot of us Jersey MC's and producers went to school together. Including multi-platinum selling artists. These are the people that we honed our craft with. We just moved in separate directions and understood nobody was going to put us on but us.

Your influences?
Minnie Ripperton, Dj Premier, Smokey Robinson, Parliament. A lot of heads from the 60'-70's. We were influenced by artists that kept just it FUNKY!
Favorite spot?
The womb
Equipment used:
Too much stuff to name but a choice weapon is the MPC 2000.
Anything else...?
We have 15,000 blank cd's for the streets this summer, a following, and a passion to not get jerked. You go figure.
