Since the insurgence of these great artists into the southern rap game, no one out of the bluff city of Memphis, Tennessee has displayed the ability and tenacity to take back the honor and respect it once owned. Looking at the game through the eyes of Memphis born and Orange Mound bred REDBOSS you would see a city of hard times, a city that deserves respect and honor. From pain, hurt, and humiliation he spits lyrics of hardship, of poverty, of true life struggles. Through his versatility, REDBOSS spits lyrics that the dirtiest ghetto can feel as well as infectious hooks to get the clubs crunk. REDBOSS has rapped with such Memphis Legends as Playa Fly, Dj Squeeky, Skinny Pimp, Criminal Manne and Tom Skeemask just to name a few.
First, hitting the Memphis rap scene in the early 90�s on Dj Squeeky mix-tapes. REDBOSS displayed at an early age the ability to lyrically hold his own, gaining respect from such mentors as Playa Fly, Dj Squeeky, Criminal Mane, and Thuggsta. REDBOSS released his self-entitled debut album in 1999. Since that first album, REDBOSS has had a number of industry appearances on albums for Skinny Pimp, Dj Squeeky, and a number of compilation albums including Down-South.com (Down In Tha Dirty and First Coast).
In 2004, REDBOSS decided to step up for Memphis. REDBOSS has mainly worked on the completion of his sophomore album �BACK2DASTREETZ VOL. 1�. He decided to uphold Memphis from his second home Atlanta, GA. There REDBOSS could attack the industry from a place known throughout the world for its southern brand of Music. REDBOSS currently has a blazing hot single �Don�t Play� featuring LIL WEAVAH. This single is starting to receive a lot of love from the mix-tape scene in Atlanta, North Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, Texas, California, and Florida.
