Ted Lehman
NEWS
I have just uploaded 3 of 6 recordings I made in 1980 or thereabout. This was an analog stereo recording that unfortunately had degraded quite a bit over 30 years. These recordings represent my first experience with a drum machine, compressors, and synthesizers. There are multiple technical issues with these recordings however I was quite surprised at the quality of the songs themselves. I think my basic songwriting skills are very evident in these songs even though the recordings do not do them justice. I plan to rerecord all of these songs in the coming months. I thought it would be fun to share these tracks anyway. Give them a try, you may like them just the way they are.
Thanks for listening.

Band History:
Ted Lehman hails from Long Island, then Buffalo, New York, where he discovered his fondness for chicken wings and his hatred for the cold. Ted perfected his flashy guitar riffs while performing with the band, Pepperwood Greene in the Western New York Area during the late '70's. Playing mostly original songs by Ted and the other members of the band. His musical styles tend to run from Rock to blues to pop, country and folk. But mostly, Ted's writing and performing influences come from artists like John Prine and Steve Goodman, Bonnie Rait, Robert Johnson, & B.B. King. Groups like The Beatles, the Doors, artists like Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton, great performing acts like Little Feat, Santana and Moody Blues. Musical influences as diverse as Frank Zappa, Spirit and The Eagles can be heard in many of Lehman's songwriting efforts.
Ted has been writing & playing music for most of his life. His band "Pepperwood Greene" based out of Buffalo NY, was a vehicle for songwriters to produce their music. After leaving Buffalo Ted moved to Atlanta and, worked for a number of years writing and recording at home. With the advent of MP3 technology and the internet "I finally thought it was time to share all of my recordings both old and new on the web". Ted's internet activity, the quality of his work and his marketing savvy yielded almost 20 other independent artists to cover his songs which can be heard on his charity compilation "Legacy 4 U" (set of 4 CD's). "After spending most of my life writing and recording music I find that I have a rather large archive of written and recorded material. (14 CD's worth) I consider myself a songwriter first and performer and recording artist second." Ted is interested in other artists covering his songs. He is also interested in licensing his compositions and recordings for TV, Film, Advertising, & Video Games.
