We named our band after the coolest kid in recorded history: Nolan Young

We play all around Oklahoma.

It takes the control out of the hands of the radio and puts it in ours. Up until the internet, the DJ's chose what was cool. Now that the internet has made it so much easier to gain publicity, we can listen to who ever we want!

It all started way back when. We were young, we were lost, but we loved music. First, Dale, our lead guitarist, asked Will McDonald to play bass. He turned out to be great. Within the next year the drummer broke his wrist while skating. Frantic to find a new drummer, we asked some friends. John Damiani fit the criteria in more ways than one way. The following May, we recorded our first demo. Max Gagliardi was recruited to play rhythm guitar that night. We played a few shows and had a lot of fun. Even with newcomer Max Gagliardi's amazing talent, we still felt we were missing something. That something was our long time friend Scott Richter. Scotty Bo Botty, as we like to call him, joined the band as the synthist. So we were created. We were.. The Nolans

We all mostly listen to different music but some of our main influences are The Who, Motion City Soundtrack, The Reunion Show, The Anniversary, and Weezer.
