a.k.a. tribute to bowery electric
2002 electronic composition for a UArts student's film entitled "Traffic."
driving around the burbs, with jack, listening to LTJ bukem, staring at the big houses.
The main hook in this track was derived from a song off of DJ Shadow's "Entroducing" album.
starts and ends dark, with a jazzy middle
dark and beautiful. be patient, it gets good towards the end. the drums come in twice.
two tracks in one. i always used to perform these two together, they go hand in hand. "different" is dark, with a slow 'doors-y' groove. "open" is more melodic, my favorite track to perform live.
recorded live at the AULA cafe, Vassar college, 5/2002. funky beat with jazzy keys.
The soundtrack to a UArts student's film entitled, "Memories of Vietnam." The touching story of a Vietnamese man recounting his long & difficult journey to America as a child. A real soundtrack, not a 'games soundtrack.'
track i wrote/recorded while playing with the band stellarscope (www.stellarscope.net) in philly, pa. dancey and trancey. i used metasynth to get those vocoder like sounds in the beginning of the track.
this is a remix of my friend james snyder's (www.mp3.com/hellican) song "circles are none." also appears on stellarscope's 'reverberations' cd.
written originally by tom lugo of stellarscope. i remixed this track for the reverberations cd.
i wrote this while listening to a lot of the cure. it makes sense to dedicate it to them, since they're probably my favorite band.
a track from back in the day. icey sounds melt into a driving rhythmic force.
