My name is Chris Mitchell. I guess what I really want you to know about me is that I love to sing. I wrote my first song when i was in 6th grade. It was a silly little song with no words that I plunked out on the piano, but it was enough to get the wheels turning. My mom thought it was great, so I wrote another. 20 years of voice lessons, 12 bands, 1 orchestra, and 2 music schools later I am still here. At times I have a need to express my own thoughts, and sometimes I just want to sing and dance. What a wonderful thing that i get to do that huh?
Do you play live?
Nashville, TN
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet gives us all a chance to be heard and communicate our ideas without having a major-label record deal. It is very positive because it lets music fans listen to a much broader range of material, and allows artists to reach their target audience without spending thousands of dollars and traveling the globe to do it
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes.
Band History:
With roots in Rock & Gospel music, Chris Mitchell started out in 1990 as an ecclectic R&B, Soul performer. He played covers for a couple of years in the local Nashville clubs while he began to develop and then groom and customize his original sound. 2006 finds Chris Mitchell's music focused and taylored specifically for the listener who demands to hear an accomplished vocalist singing well crafted and "listenable" pop music. Chris has played to sold-out crowds primarily in Nashville, until recently branching out to Chicago, Atlanta, and Cleveland.

Chris performed as Robert Plant in "Led Zeppelin You bi***!" at the famous 12th & Porter Playroom in Nashville, TN to sold out crowds and rave reviews in 2000 and 2001.

"Wish List" made the top 13 finalists on Tonos Pro qualifying Chris for spot on the submission CD in the Jim Brickman Tonos songwriting opportunity.
