the backlash against mass-consensus reality

Why this name?
Freewill determined it to be so.
Do you play live?
The focus has been on developing creative skills in the studio and making the results available through the internet. Funkspace would like to go live eventually.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It has given the small guy a platform to be heard. The problem is that the internet has multiplied the exposure of major label artists. Yes, we now have a voice - but it is a small voice in an overcrowded playing field dominated by big fish that are louder than ever before.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Funkspace would rather sign up with an independent label who believes in the artist for the right reasons and would work WITH the artist.
Band History:
It was going to happen eventually -with or without the message in the music. The message just became a necessity.
Your influences?
Chemical Brothers, Front 242, The Prodigy, Orbital, The Orb, NIN, Phillip Glass, Autechre, Steve Martland, Steve Reich, Mike Oldfield, Pink Floyd, Kraftwerk, Gary Numan, Jean Michel Jarre, The Beatles, Geoff Love and his Orchestra.
Favorite spot?
Lat-Long: 37° 47' 8" , -122° 24' 21"
Equipment used:
Software and hardware from a variety of large and small corporate entities.
Anything else...?
..."Today Americans would be outraged if U.N. troops entered Los Angeles to restore order; tomorrow they will be grateful. This is especially true if they were told there was an outside threat from beyond, whether real or promulgated, that threatened our very existence. It is then that all peoples of the world will plead with world leaders to deliver them from this evil. The one thing every man fears is the unknown. When presented with this scenario, individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their well being granted to them by their world government."
-Henry Kissinger speaking at Evian, France, May 21, 1992 Bilderbergers meeting. Unbeknownst to Kissinger, his speech was taped by a Swiss delegate to the meeting
