In recent news Zen Hipster took part in Tulsa's Z104.5 THE EDGE's "Next Big Thing" Contest. What a night, there were about 500 people packed into the club "The Other Side". Zen Hipster was in great form, winning the crowd with their upbeat stage show. It was a great night for Zen Hipster.
Although the band did not take home the official victory, many new people converted to Zen Hipster fans.
Zen Hipster has also completed recording of a new track (untitled at this time) to go on the Tulsa Band Coalition Compilation Album. The track may also be featured on the next Zen Hipster album to be released in the not to distant future.
Also, be sure to catch Zen Hipster at the Winner's Circle in Tulsa, with Dallas band Jibe.

Band History:
Started in 1994, Zen Hipster began rehearsing at singer/guitarist attic. Today, the boys have a full length album out, and have another one on the way.

We are influenced by many different artists and musical styles from blues to classical, rock and hip-hop.
