SoundClick artist: Matt Stevens - It's not the sadness, it's the gettin' there.

I record everything to digital 4-track. It's a great toy for getting started. As far as playing out, Triple D's open mic seems to be my home at the moment.

Band History:

I began cutting my chops two years ago. The reason being, I had too much damn time on my hands and too many thoughts wrasslin' in my head. I think I've settled down a touch.

Your influences?

I love the words of Tom Waits and Greg Brown. The poetry of everyday. Mix in a little Steve Earle, Guy Clark, David Olney, the young guys; Josh Ritter, Ryan Adams.
