Raw Dialect has been compared to many artists, all of which are trendsetters. They've been compared, not because their music sounds the same, but because their music is different from what you hear day in day out. The six talented musicians, with diverse backgrounds and perspectives, combine to create a unique style and sound. Each member has followed Hip-Hop since the days of Sugar Hill and have been fans of other genres of good music even longer than that. The group was officially formed in 1996. 1200 had been childhood friends with Rainman and Tone Rome. Danjah, T-Rock and Sweets hooked up with 1200 & Tone while attending Tuskegee University. Hence Raw Dialect was formed due to their "love of fam(ily), Hip-Hop and mental persistence!". You want lyrics? Danjah attacks you with a non-stop aggressive flow that you gotta love, but also know not to tangle with. Tone Rome comes at you with a scientific flow that keeps you in sync with the beat and your mind in tune with his message. Rainman hits you with an on-beat/off-beat flow that travels at lightening speed and slows down just enough so you can hold on. T-Rock comes through with high voltage lyrics that send shock waves through your sound system and electrifies your soul. Sweets adds his southern flava to the mix with his uncanny flow that is always on point. 1200 completes the cipher by adding his share of dope rhymes. Where does the sound come from? 1200, Sweets, and (newly added musician/resident engineer) Excalibur are the primary source for the beats, pushing the SP-1200 to its limits, and any other piece of equipment they can get their hands on. The vibe becomes illest when all seven collabo to bring sounds that never stop reeking of originality.
