The Starfish are a 4 piece olde skool influenced punk rock band from Norwich. They've been together for 2 years and still cant speak proper english.
Theyve recorded 2 demos, one that was rubbish, one that was OK and one coming up which theyre hoping will excellent (december 1st)

Why this name?
The bad name of The Starfish came about when the band first formed as a joke to play a punk version of the beach boys soing "get around" in a summer concert at school. Ollie came up with the name to go along with the beach theme, and because they are lazy, the band havent come up with a good name since.
Do you play live?
We play live whenever we can, to audiences of 100 + to 4 people. We only play in the east anglian are at the minute as none of us can drive
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet is great for live music and bands, people can hear your band and find out where and when you are playing at the touch of a button, plus you can organize gigs with other bands easily
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
The answer to that would be yes definately! However i think our band is addiment that our sound would not be changed if that was to happen.
Band History:
Basically we started off in GCSE music group, because we had to perform a song for a crappy concert, and we called ourselves the starfish because we were doing a punk version of a beach boys song.
Because we are un-inventive and can't be bothered, we have still kept the terrible name of "the starfish"
So there you have it, we are still called the Starfish, because we eventually came to like it and couldn't think of anything better. (By the way we know it means arse)
In June 03 the Starfish recorded a 4 track EP. For a few weeks they thought it was the greatest thing ever, but soon they realised it was crap and they sucked. The band were quick to rehearse, write new songs and play as many gigs as possible.
In december 03, the starfish recorded another 4 track Ep which they were very happy with. Now the band are gigging as much as possible and giving out their album free.
On december 1st 2004 the band are recording a new EP which will be their best yet
