The "Tricks Live" concert was done to promote the album "Turn A Trick" back at the time when compressor/limiters first came out on the market. Obviously the sound engineers weren't familiar with this new piece of equipment as the concert tapes were somewhat hissy & overdriven. But then again, the band was definitely in overdrive on this night. We're talking in their prime & Kickin Ass! And these songs prove it. So listen past the background noise & hear the band whip out some of the most explosive, butt whippin, rock n roll original tunes that there ever was!!!!!LIVE
Why this name?
When the guys first formed the band they wanted a nice, friendly sounding name that wouldn't be offensive to anyone, especially booking agents & club owners. This was during the disco days of the late 70s & that was the fad at the time. Do you believe these guys actually played DISCO? After 2 years of agonizingly whoreing themselves out to make a buck, they fired their manager & wanted to change what they thought was wimpy name to something more hard to match their change in genre but they already had recognition & a good following so why mess up a good thing, so the name stayed.
Do you play live?
Nope, but again, like SweetToothe, they plan on getting together soon for a reunion some time in the near future Be on the look out for them! They truly, absolutely rock!!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Gives independant artists a chance for their music to be heard....worldwide
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Sure
