Whassup everybody? This is Krys. I am here to let all of you hear my new stuff. I am coming out with a new CD titled the Flow Of Music in August. Be watching for that. This is just to let yall know i love you.
Why this name?
Krys is just my name with a Y and its kind of like Crystal which is a common name and a drink preferred by a lot of people. Its just a play on words.
Do you play live?
I have played live in casino's, and at schools. I'm getting a couple gigs at restaurants and lounges. All in Seattle.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Everything is done on the internet now. Having your CD sell in a store is so much harder than just having it listed on the internet.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Of course I would. If Epic or Elektra, or Columbia approached me I would be all ears.
Band History:
Basically I've been doing everything by myself from drum beats to vocals and everything in between. I produce, write, and perform everything you hear in all of my music. When playing live, i have a bass player, a lead guitarist, and a drummer where I work the keyboard and sing vocals. I dont usually have any background singers because it doesn't really affect live music because of all of the energy.
Your influences?
Jagged Edge and Boyz II Men are the most influential groups I have ever heard.
Favorite spot?
Gas Works Park - Seattle, Washington. Place where I can really write lyrics.
Equipment used:
I use a yamaha Digital Piano, DJX yamaha synthesizer, Fender Stratacaster 1972 vintage, Epifone Acoustic, Boss BR-1180 digital studio.
