I started writing music at around 14 years of age. I was really into a lot of hard rock female influences (L7, Seven Year bi***, Babes In Toyland) and my early music was really influenced by a crunch sound. Unfortunately though my mother could only handle me so much on the electric guitar. She would bang on the wall downstairs and tell me to shut up, as it was always late and my family were trying to sleep. So, I converted to the acoustic guitar. The acoustic sound grew on me, and now I can't get enough of it. Now I focus on blues, jazz and folk vibes.
Why this name?
Hmmmm.... that's a tough question... it was given to me at birth
Do you play live?
Yes, in Kamloops aminly, and around BC. I want to take my music on the road more, and I plan to go to Europe, but for now I'm happiest playing shows in my hometown with the support of friends and family. However, there's nothing like playing live, in any town. That's why I play music.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it's allowed a lot of people to expand their tastes. It's all there for you to open up to.
Favorite spot?
My hometown (Kamloops, BC) and definitely the Gulf Islands (off the coast of Van.)
Anything else...?
Eat food. Be happy... and buy my CD.
