My goal as an artist is to write lyrics that people can relate to. My view of music is that it is nothing unless you can apply it to a situation in your life. If this happens the song(s) mean more to you as the listener, and you like them more because in a way you make a personal connection with the song(s). There's one of my own songs up called Hide, and a song of me and my old band as well called Chosen. I posted the song of me and my old band so people can see another example of me writting lyrics. I wrote all the lyrics for the song that is posted, and I wrote 95% of all of the lyrics for my old band. I will be putting up more songs of my own as soon as possible. I am going into the studio later this month and I will post the songs that are being recorded as soon as possible. But for now, do me a favor take a listen to my demo song Hide, and tell me what ya think through e-mail or the message board thanks ~ C.W.F.2
Why this name?
It's the name thats on my birth certificate, & I thought it sounded like a good and original name for a solo artist.
Do you play live?
I have played live with the band I use to be in, and I currently have some attentive shows later this year with a band I know, as well as other possibilities for shows.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It is a useful tool for unsigned artists to get exposure for free, but at the same time I feel it has it's draw backs like downloading music with out permission from the artist.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, as long as it was a respectable contract.
Band History:
During High School I played in a christian band called "Most Excellent Theophilus". In the band I wrote 95% of the lyrics for our songs. I also played acoustic guitar and did some turn-table-scratching in the band. We recorded a full length album at 29 Doors Recording Studio and released it.Then some of the members graduated from High School and went away to college, so the band broke up. After that I still continued writting songs on my own, and wasn't really doing much with them besides just writting them for fun. Then I received a High School graduation gift to record 1 song for free at 29 Doors Recording Studio from the owner & close friend of mine Brian Bianchi. After having a good experience again recording with him at his studio, and being very pleased with the final product of my song I decided to do some thing I have always wanted to do. Start a solo music project of my own, which I am doing now.
