Enter PFattie Lumpkin - a power-trio-plus-one based in Salt Lake City, Utah blessed with the awe-inspiring might to kick serious *ss with their own brand of powerhouse rock'n'roll. A seasoned band with eclectic tastes, unique personalities, and talent to spare, PF.L desires only one thing - make the venue shake and make the people move. The sound is a combo of blues, hard rock, and a dash of hip-hop, and PF.L's live show certainly proves their intensity and dedication to the music with up to four-hour sets, and still have some in the pocket. A new record is in the works, and will once again prove that PFattie Lumpkin is a rock'n'roll force to be reckoned with...
Why this name?
Unfortunately, that is incriminating evidence - can't tell you.
Do you play live?
Playing live is what we're all about, and it's always the best time of our lives when it happens. We play as often as possible (at very select gigs ;-D)
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I love it - and hate it. The internet is so very vital these days. There is so much to know in our age, and this provides the link to it all. I think music should be easier to access, but I blame the industry's neglect for not protecting musicians and their music and for not keeping it all under control when they had the chance. It's awesome to be able to get whatever you want, but musicians are right - we deserve something for our work. Make it cheap, easy to access (single songs, albums, etc.), include independent labels and artists the ability to be included (everyone benefits!!!), and stop sueing your customers. It's not that hard to figure out...
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Probably so, I've wanted that life - if even for a moment - for most of my living days, and I don't think that will ever not hold that dream in my heart/
