Why this name?
Jim and Blake were in a poor high school band called Automatic Lowe. They wanted to make a demo cd but money was tight, so Jim purchased a cheap soundcard and the ghetto was born. Why is it called the Ghetto you asked? Because all the equipment use to be ghetto, crappy mics, crappy equipment, and crappy mixing (Jim). Things have changed though, the equipment has improved greatly, and the boys have got a few years of practice under their belts, but the name stuck.
Do you play live?
ummm no...
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet is the way of the future for the music industry. The internet has enabled poor bands and studio (like us) to publish our works. The majors are ignorant for trying to change the industry back to the archaic model that made them so much money.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
oh yeah, can't beat the American dream.
