Born and raised in Texas, this little folk-rocker has got more than a voice. She plays guitar to back up those vocals and even writes all her own songs. We can all look forward to big things from Kristin ... and soon.
Do you play live?
I play live in the Dallas/Ft Worth area. Playing live is probably my favorite part of being a performer.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet just makes it easier for musicians to get their music out to people. A lot of my fans wouldn't be fans if it wasn't for the internet.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Nah, I think I'd rather be able to have control over what happens with my music. Someone once told me "signing with a major label is like selling your soul to the devil". That person works for a record label.
Band History:
Basically, I started playing electric guitar when I was in 6th grade, couldn't figure it out, so quit and didn't pick another guitar until I was almost fifteen. But my second try was on an acoustic, which somehow seemed much more welcoming to me. So I've been playing since about Thanksgiving of 1998. I wrote my first song about a shoe...it was pretty pathetic.
