College student playing jazz guitar whenever he can.
As is obvious in my older recordings, I went through the whole shredder phase in my earlier teen years. I was introduced to jazz fusion by the likes of Frank Gambale and Greg Howe when I was a junior in high school and decided to pursue that style until I graduated. Once I started playing jazz in college I was immersed in bebop/post bop/hard bop, etc. and that's the kind of thing I shoot for these days.
I play live in the Thursday 5:30 jazz combo at the University of Virginia
I also play with a folk/prog rock band called Mickey Biscuit and the Jefferson Christ Action

Andreas Oberg, John Coltrane, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Wayne Krantz, Greg Howe, Jimmy Raney, Bireli Lagrene, Pat Martino, Tommy Flanagan, McCoy Tyner, Wayne Shorter, Joe Henderson, Dexter Gordon, Charlie Parker, Tim Miller, Tim Goynes, John Scofield, Mike Stern, Tal Farlow, Michael Brecker, and any other creative, inventive, and melodic bebop
The older recordings on here were done with an Ibanez JS100 w/ Dimarzio PAF Pro and Tone Zone (PAF in neck TZ in bridge) pickups, into a Behringer V-Amp2, first into a crappy onboard soundcard, then later into a SoundBlaster Audigy LS.
The newer stuff has been recorded with a PRS Standard 24 into a Line6 POD XT, into the same Audigy soundcard.
