Were a small time pub band from the south east of England. We all came from Thanet, a crappy little area in Kent and we just used to do a few gigs where we did covers, whilst we were doin our A-levels. Although have the band went to uni, we may still start again in the summer. That is if the Lazy Mo Fo's that didnt go to uni get some gigs lined up. The band is Steph Leader, who is a humazin singer, on vocals, James Dean on Drums, Me (Rob Moon)and recent addition Tom Davies on Guitar, and finally Stu Fassam (Fat Sam) on bass.
Why this name?
The first name we chose was synergy, just thought it was catchy. However we later realised that it was actually crap and was also the name of a shampoo or something. So we then decided to change it to another random word. This was Myriad. I think it was me who thought of it, but i'm not sure and i dont expect u really care anyway.
Do you play live?
Yes. Random Pubs in Thanet(Kent in the UK. Yes, sometimes. Hmmm, probably the random incidents that breakout when we start playing at the royal. First time there was a fight (that a bouncer started!) which nearly took out the P.A. Being the consumate pro's, we obviously played on.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Its a big old equaliser its now just as easy to get hold of material from an unheard of band as it is a superstar band. Many of my favourite bands are ones that I downloaded from audiogalaxy randomly, and I now pay to see them play live when i can.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Well, I'd say that it is fairly unlikely that the opportunity would arise. But if they paid ne about tree fiddy then maybe.
