Why this name?
Our ex-guitarist (Tom) had a book by the author of Sharon Creech called Chasing Redbird, and we liked the name.
Do you play live?
Yes we do, mostly local clubs and house shows, and every time we play it gets more intense.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It gets bands really well known and can get start up bands (like us) out there so people can hear the music.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, Saddle-Creek records are a personal favorite
Band History:
Chasing Redbird is a quickly aspiring band formed in Roswell Georgia in 2002. The band is a quartet, playing mostly electric/acoustic combinations with a lot of acoustic bass and drums. The band consists of : Rhythm Guitarist/Lead Singer : Danny ; Lead Guitarist/Backup Vocals : Zach ; Bass/Backup Vocals : Greg ; and Drummer : Hannah. One of the few bands around including a girl, Chasing Redbird is unique in many ways. Classifying their music is difficult, but it could called Emo, emo-core, or indie, but they have a very wide style. Playing at such venues as The Masquerade has helped them grow a bit of a local following, so look out for Chasing Redbird in the near future!
