But there’s much more to grab your attention. With her unique songwriting ability, this young singer/songwriter doesn’t just write, but sculptures a song from the heart. Having worked with some of the hottest new artist and producers, ChiQuita B has evolved from the shell of much more than a mere singer. She is fastening herself after some of the greats that inspire her. Greats such as Patti Labelle, Whitney Houston, Anita Baker, Luther Vandross and Betty Wright (her all time favorite).

Showing multi talents, not just as a singer/songwriter, but also as a producer. She learned to sing at a very young age. Having been the lead singer in the church Youth Choir.

She’s sang with several local bands and performed at numerous events. ChiQuita B has won local radio contest, receiving both monetary and prize awards. May 10,2003, she entered and won Q107's “Quest for Fame” contest out of more than 70 entries. She received Cash and 8 hours of recording time at the legendary FAME Recording Studio in Muscle Shoal, Ala. Graced by such greats as Aretha Franklin, BB King, Elvis Presley and Sam Cooke, this was indeed an honor.

She also took part in a show choir called “Singers” while studying at Northwest Shoals Community College in Alabama. This beautiful, songbird oozes with soul as she pours out her heart-sent lyrical genius. Leaving a rhythmic collage of sound and textures of warm and alluring tones of life in one’s ear.
