A friend of mine thought that I resembled one of Tony Tone Toni...people started calling me that but it was too long, eventually it got shortened to Tony Tone. Unfortunately, at the time I had no idea about DJ Tony Tone from the Cold Crush Brothers.

I've been purposely transitioning from that name to mistamonotone, to give myself more of my own identity. That name was (jokingly) given to me by noted house producer Quentin Harris in the Hip Hop Shop one day. Most people just call me Tone.

I've done plenty live shows as a DJ, I've yet to showcase as a producer.

I can transmit my basement to the world..."it's fantastic"!
