Formed in early 2003, Thirty 2 Life blends melodic vocal lines, heavy guitar riffs & solos with lyrics inspired by the pain and pleasure that life brings. Creating their own unique sound while glimpses of their European gothic/metal and American metal influences shine through. While playing shows all over the south, they have shared billing with Seether, Trapt, ManMade God, Die Trying and many unsigned bands. After releasing several E.P.'s, Thirty 2 Life released their first full length album entitled "Powered By Pain" in April 2006. Thirty 2 Life is currently recording a new album, which is projected for release in the fall of 2007.
Do you play live?
Yes, and we love to be on stage. We have played in places from St. Louis to Biloxi. One of our favorite shows was at Buzzfest 2003, opening the show for Seether and Trapt.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It gives the little guys a chance to be heard by people, who otherwise, wouldn't even know you existed.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Depends on the fine print. If they were really going to promote your music, then it might be worth it.
Band History:
Brothers Andy and Michael Adams share guitar and vocal duties and Daniel Frederick beats on the drums. A new addition to the band is Dennis Hardy on bass. The Adams brothers and Frederick were in a death metal band called Deth Bed in the early 90's, which achieved some success and received offers from several independent labels.
Your influences?
Sentenced, Megadeth, Alice In Chains, Life Of Agony, Poisonblack, Charon

Anything else...?
We write and play music that we love. Not everyone is going to like what we play. But, we aren't trying to make everybody else happy anyway. You gotta be true to yourself.
