Zong of the Week is a project with a simple goal: to create a new funny song every week. The Zong of the Week creative team has pledged to provide a steady supply of satirical and silly songs for your entertainment.

You can hear our new songs each week here on our Soundclick music page and also at our website, zongoftheweek.com.

Why this name?
'Zong' is our word for a song ripe with wit and irony, the musical equivalent of a water balloon.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
We are excited about the growth of free, legal music downloads (and high-speed Internet, which makes it practical to collect music online). It means there's no more need to buy overpriced CDs, but more than that, it allows for more variety, more spontaneity, and more creative honesty than you can get in big-budget efforts. We're glad to play a part in this transformation of the music world.
