About Andrew Santagata...

At the age of six, singer/songwriter, Andrew Santagata received his first guitar and a copy of KISS Alive II, and the rest is history. Fast forward a few years...Andrew has been a member of two semi-regional east coast acts, A Breed Apart and his solo band Santagata. Since joining A Breed Apart in 2003, Andrew has already had the opportunity to play the Locobazooka! festival four years in a row. The first three years, A Breed Apart played the main stage alongside such acts as Alice In Chains, Disturbed, Buckcherry, Shinedown, Saliva, Damageplan (RIP Dime), while playing to crowds of thousands of people with huge response. Then in 2007, Andrew returned to Locobazooka with his new solo band, Santagata, sharing the bill with such acts as Alice Cooper, Heaven and Hell (Black Sabbath with Dio) and Queensryche. At Locobazooka 2007, Santagata released their first CD titled 'A Fire Inside'. All four tracks from this CD were licensed over to Versailles Records for various compilations. In 2008, Andrew appeared on "Lick It Up: A Millennium tribute to KISS" (Versailles/Sony overseas), which saw first week sales of over 4,000 units. Also in 2008, Andrew reunited with A Breed Apart one last time for their third, and Andrew's final release with the band, 'Creates A Scar'. Supporting 'Creates A Scar' included a slot on the Rock The Ink festival with headliners Godsmack. Then in 2009, Andrew released his first ever digital box set entitled "15 Years: The Box - The Good, The Bad and The Ugly". Currently in 2010, Santagata did some tour dates with Kittie and God Forbid in March, the band is also busy in the studio with mega-producer/engineer Phil Greene (Dropkick Murphys, Mighty Bosstones, NKOTB, Eddie and The Cruisers Soundtrack, ect) recording new material for their forthcoming CD "Into The Black and Everything After", the first single "Hopeless" is due for release July 2010.
