play lo-fi play hi-fi  Colours Of The Night
A Great British Heavy Rock/Metal band, with an unequalled live sound. Great lyrics and vocals backed by guitar driven music that finds the perfect balance between old and new school Rock.
Why this name?
We were about to go live and still didn't have a name. I think we all had a tad of reservations about it but the logo looked so good and let's face it, Brian May had his reservations on calling the band Queen. I rest my case.
Do you play live?
We've only played The Cartoon club in Croydon so far supporting major tribute acts on Saturday nights. It's one of the best Rock venues in the South of England with a great sound for the bands and damn good DJ's for the audience. We are looking at other venues at the moment. Supporting Hi On Maiden was a good night.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The mp3 is here and it's up to the music industry to cope with it. CD sales have taken a fall but a happy medium will soon take place. Love it or hate it you can't ignore it.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Of course. We'd love to see a CD on the shelves with our name on it, sponsored by a major name. These guys still have clout.
Band History:
''Dangerous Breed has been a long time in the making and began with Paul Johnson and myself. We were determined from the outset to get every aspect correct and after some exhaustive auditioning we finally chose people with whom we had previously worked and that we could trust. This is fast becoming an excellent band so come and see us.''

Barry (Baz) Nicholls - Bass
Your influences?
Too many to mention. Led Zep to Cradle Of Filth. Quite a few pinches of Ozzy, Iron Maiden, Queensryche, AC/DC, Metallica, Dio, Biohazard, Pantera. I could go on.
Favorite spot?
Anywhere that still gives the planet a chance to breathe. And the Moon of course.
Equipment used:
PRS, Gibson, Wilkes, Ibanez, ESP and Jackson guitars. Music Man and Ibanez bass guitars. Marshall, Mesa Boogie, Behringer amp stuff. Yamaha drums and Paiste cymbals. I'm sure there's more but I'm only the singer after all. I use a Shure SM58 and Sennheiser mics by the way.
Anything else...?
Come and see us live and make your own minds up. Check out the messages we've had so far. www.dangerousbreed.com
