it depends...not a major label, maybe an underground one that don't feed the ones already rich as hell...

Fruity Loops for beats, Acoustica for recording, Adobe and Cool Edit for editing, record with a computer microphone, pretty good one though, about $30, and I like how my more recent songs are sounding when I add in the editing...
