Welcome to 221-B Productions, where I'm changing the hip-hop game with my beats. My name is Shurlokke, and I am a producer with some hot tracks. I am from Louisiana, so a lot of my beats have that Dirty South flavor. But I take influences from all different genres.

Why this name?

I love Sherlock Holmes the mystery sleuth. So when I decided to start producing, I came up with a spelling of his name as my stage name. And Sherlock Holmes lived at 221-B Baker Street, so that's where I got the idea for 221-B Productions

Do you play live?

I just produce. I don't perform. However I can sing some, so I could do the whole Pharrell thing.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

The internet gives me a chance to put my music out there. And it gives already signed acts free advertising.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Oh, most definitely. I would love to sign on as a producer at a good label.

Band History:

I started out by beatboxing for the freestylers when I was in high school. When I got to college, I learned how to produce. And from there I'm making tracks.

Your influences?

I am inspired by Jermaine Dupri, Timbaland, the Neptunes, Kanye West, Jazze Pha, and others. I listen to all genres of music, so I take elements from all the different types of music I like.

Favorite spot?

I love Houston, Texas. It's just an oasis of talent.
