Horns and Halos...
What will it be for you today? Would you like some heavy guitar and bass riffs coupled with fast lyrical patterns served with a side of techno beats, or is a soft melody packed full of emotion more your cup of tea?
Why this name?
Duality is a basic fact of life. Light and Dark, Good and Evil, positive and negative, etc... Everyone and everything has an altar ego. I can't tell you mine. yet... Just trust me, the explanation is in the works... I will say, however, that I chose this as my name not only because of the nature of my music (hard and soft) but because this is one thing that everyone has in common. Horns and Halos... the true altar ego
Do you play live?
I have in other bands, but not this one... yet...
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The industry is being forced to adjust to all of its customers downloading and copying music. The web is giving Indie artists the ability to promote themselves online. This, in addition to losing sales from copywright infringement, is actually a good thing for the industry... After all, we're all capitalists, right?
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Even though I (and millions of other music listeners) am a bit disillusioned with the RIAA suing its customers, I probably would sign a record deal in the hope that I could show them the error of thier ways. I have some good ideas on how they could redeem themselves.
Band History:
Not much of a history, we're pretty new ... It started out as just me and my instruments, but now a good friend has joined the army of the sonic revolution...
Your influences?
This is the hardest question for me to answer. Every song I have ever heard has influenced me in some way. I like all genres of music... well that depends, is country considered actual music? haha Just a few of the early favorites though... NIN, Alice in Chains, Ozzy, Black Sabbath, Korn, Snoop, 8ball, Tool, Dave Mathews, Mozart, Foo Fighters, Postal Service.... the list goes on....
Favorite spot?
My studio... For the last year I've barely left it
Equipment used:
I keep it basic (due more to lack of funds than anything else)... a guitar, a bass, a POS keyboard, a Korg d1600, and a mic.. oh..and a harmonica
