Why this name?
Jim said it. We liked it.
Do you play live?
Our first live gig was at the Ames High Auditorium for the Amnesty International Band Night. We played:
Government One - Oh - Fun, Self Esteem Balloon, Morning After (Andy solo - Elliot Smith Cover), and closed with a cover of Herman's Hermits' Henry the Eighth. Our next show is Battle of The Bands at Ames High May 15th at 7:30 PM. Set: I Am Eight Feet Tall, Idea, Cat Shave, Rock Fun (With Greg Hunter)
News: We just played the Battle of the Bands last night. We switched "I am Eight Feet Tall" at the last minute to a new song we're tentatively calling "The Flip Side" We played very well, and some people stood for us at the end. We were congratulated extensively, and had two offers for new shows. One is at Bali, where we'd probably play with Espada and the Trees, and one is a Battle of the Bands in Story City. All in all a good show.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The music industry has been boosted for the better by the internet. Because of sites like Soundclick, independent bands can get noticed, like our friends, Yeti on a Budget.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Most definitely, if they were willing to not f*** up our style.
Band History:
Well, I (Ricky) wanted to form a band, and Andy was free, as his old band had just broken up, and Joe's dad had just given him a drumset, so we started out just us three jamming, and shortly after, Jim joined us reluctantly at first, but enthusiastically later, and were given the opportunity to rock at the Amnesty International show. We tried out for Battle of the Bands and made it, and now are going strong and writing music, and considering an album.
Your influences?
Modest Mouse, Beatles, Velvet Underground, King Crimson, Califone, Built to Spill, Weezer, all kinds of Jazz and Blues.
Favorite spot?
Joe's basement.
Equipment used:
Guitar, Bass, Joe's drums, some amps, and a mic, with our big ass rigs.
