Hi Brothers and Sisters worldwide! I'm CR and The Maccabee Project is the Music Project where, with the blessing and grace of God, I exercise sonic mayhem and share it with all who will listen.
I'm a Hard Rockin' Guitarist/Singer/Songwriter with deep Blues and Southern Rock Roots. For good measure, the Lord blessed me with some good ol' Detroit High Energy Rock style to add to the mix.
The Maccabee Project is based out of Roanoke, Virginia and I have had the help of former bandmates Sharon Payne (Drums) and John Yates (Bass) in putting much of this music together. I have also had the help of internet collaborators such as Pete Laite of New Jersy who shared his vast musical skills on "Red Horse."

Why this name?
God gave it to me in 2000 after He called me back into music after being out of it for 20 years.
Do you play live?
I play for Church outreaches, Festivals, Coffee Houses, etc. I'm also known to frequent the local Pro Blues Jam. I love to play live. I love it even more when God is able touch someone through the music He gives me.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I believe that the Internet is the best thing that ever happened for the Indie Artists. I think the majors better wake up and smell the coffee instead of fighting it.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, if I were given artistic freedom.
Band History:
The Maccabee Project was born in early June, 2003 after the Breakup of our former Christian Rock Band, "Cross Omega."
Your influences?
Cream era Eric Clapton, Johnny Winter, Gary Moore, Alvin Lee, Ted Nugent, Rick Derringer, early ZZ Top, etc.
Favorite spot?
I'm a pilgrim, waiting for the city whose founder and builder is God.
