Band History:
October of 2003 brought not only the change of season, but the birth of the band now known as Capeside. Brought together through mutual friends, a genuine love, and passion for creating music, the chemistry was there, and unbreakable friendships were born. As with most bands, every member of Capeside brings their own flavor, and musical forte with them, mixing everything from Chris’ and Scott’s love for classic rock, emo and punk bands, to the metal and hardcore bands that Adam and Alex have grown up with.

With a hard-hitting, emotional EP filled with personal recounts of loss, and suicide, Capeside has joined forces with The Black Market Army to form what is now known as The Punks For Life Foundation, an organization of bands, clothing companys, and local promoters that raise money for The Kids Help Phone. Thus far in only two local shows, Punks For Life has raised over $7000, this number is only magnified more by the fact both venues only had a capacity of 400 people each.

Suicide is one thing Capeside will always fight, but along with that, they have also raised over $5000 collectively, for the Canadian Cancer Society, and have been involved in other great benefits such as the Canadian Diabetes Association. As well, with their friends at Summercamp Productions, put on a show to raise money for a family, to help pay for the funeral of their son, Sean Abel, who lost his life in a car accident, and was an avid local music supporter.

Now, only half a year after "A Thousand Silent Voices" was released, the single 'Atlantis Lost' is now being played on corporate radio, and being sold by independent record stores across Ontario, and people are noticing. A true understanding of respect, for all genres of music, is one thing all members of Capeside believe in, and will always follow.

Music is life, life is music.

Capeside Broke Up.
