Band History:
When I was about seven years old, I attended music class every day for school. Every kid went through it. It was one of the regular daily classes. I remember one day in class well. A peer of mine by the name of Shane went up one day and played a simple song on the piano. I was amazed that one of my peers, at his young age, could make such a beautiful song on the instrument.
I quickly became heavily involved in playing piano and began lessons. I continued these lessons for about 5 years, attending various recitals and lessons. When I was about 12, my parents lacked the money to keep me enrolled. I continued to practice on my own, however, as I found the activity to be quite enjoyable.
Around the year 2000, I began experimenting with my vocals. Despite my persistent effort to produce something harmonious, it seemed that the musical gift I had experienced on the piano was doomed to stay there. While I was able to sing in key, my voice did not have the attractive sound that most famous singers use as the backbone of their career. I tried the metal screaming thing, and all I will say about that is that it certainly did not work out at all. To anyone who heard those tapes, I sincerely apologize for any loss of hearing or narcissistic rage you may have encountered. Those tapes were never formally released.
Also in 2000, I wrote my first set of lyrics. It was a whole song with a chorus and three verses. It was a violently homophobic track that encouraged the use and sale of illegal drugs. The lyrics were titled "Get Stoned, not Boned" and were never recorded.
In 2001 I became serious about controlling the microphone. People kept telling me that I had a lot of talent and I thought my lyrics and flow were pretty good too. After a fair amount of computer audio trouble, I produced the first digitally recorded song that I was proud if. It was titled "Anotha Day". Although the production was terrible, the lyrics shone. To my surprise, everyone seemed to feel it. The only thing wrong with the track was the production. I had my work cut out for me.
In 2002 I released my debut disc, "Realization". In order to attract more attention to my disc and help my friends with their music career, I collaborated with 8bzaG and AmO. It sold extremely well, and I was making quite a profit from it as I did everything myself. I wrote the lyrics myself, created the beats myself, bought my own studio equipment, recorded myself, produced myself, created and printed the album art and cd face myself, and marketed them myself. This disc continues to sell well today. I am currently in the process of recording my second album which I plan to call "Contrast".
